These 3 houses are part of a creative compound called Casitas Artisticas.  They are situated on a hilltop called La Lomita, overlooking the most visited Colonial town in Mexico, San Miguel de Allende, long known as a haven for artists and ex-pats from around the world. 
There may well be other artists living and working in the nearby houses while you are visiting.  If you are lucky you’ll have the chance to experience their occasional salon evenings with jazz musicians, art demonstrations, open studio sales and more.
