A large gallery in Pais invited me to show my work at their maritime themed exhibit. Being my first Parisian venture I was nervous and not happy with the work I was creating. It lacked a profoundness that I was unable to capture. My son insisted I stop painting and attend a ten day silent meditation retreat.
This created further anxiety as my time to fly to Paris with the work was approaching, I attended the meditation retreat knowing my son was right and came home to paint this breakthrough painting.
The Floating Free Parisian Series is what emerged - my mentor and friend Gregory Kondos remarked upon seeing my new direction, "I see that a new painter has been born."

At age 7 my painting of a flamingo circled the world in a United Nations exhibit of children's art. I was lucky enough to study animal painting at the San Diego Zoo and had the mystery of drawing and painting animals unraveled before my eyes each Saturday.
My teacher was an amazingly inspired woman who gave me the attitude that "all of life is art," and we all have the gift to express the beauty we can feel and see in nature.
