Soak up the incredible quality of life and spiritual beauty of the unspoiled rural Languedoc Region

Immerse yourself in an environment that feels like a cross between a stage set and a painting by Van Gogh. The history of the area is reflected in the one-of-a-kind paintings, sculptures and mosaic work throughout the house.
A perfect home base for day trips to ancient hill-towns, local vineyards and wine tasting, the Toulouse Lautrec Museum and an extraordinary variety of both upscale and country cuisine.

The village of Soreze, founded on the site of an 8th century abbey is just large enough to support three bakeries, two small markets, a jazz brasserie and two restaurants specializing in local cuisine. Soreze epitomizes the "small is beautiful" model of life, it beckons you to another time and state of mind that leaves you with feelings of bliss and solace.

Luxuriate and Learn in Soreze

I was born into colors - bold red poppies and a saturated cerulean blue sea surrounded me as a child.
Making a lavender hue vibrate next to golden sunflowers is what drew me to painting in Southern France.

For 25 years I have taken artists/friends to feel and paint the magic there - the timeless ancient beauty feels like "the gate of solace" that our spirits need to relax and heal from our busy lives.
"A Californian in Soreze" tells how I came to find these amazing gems and how my life budded in France
